The full series of Harrisson's PostCards from Brisbane have been combined to form a limited edition desk calendar for 2011.
Postcards from BrisbaneThe innovative calendar has dual purposes – at the end of each month the artwork can be torn off and used as a postcard. PostCards combine snappy stenciled headlines with charcoal and acrylic paintings to give an original and endearing perspective of Brisbane and its icons; from the Storey Bridge, to Stefan's needle.
"We realised that visitors and locals are stylish and savvy, and are perhaps looking for something outside of the generic photographic postcards," says the PostCards from Brisbane artist, Clare Treston. "Brisbane is growing up and becoming la-de-dah, but we still have iconic monuments that are true blue Brissy. So we've created some artworks that we think encapsulate Brisbane's history and promise, with a down-to-earth casualness."
Printed digitally at ColourChiefs, the calendars are limited edition and signed by Postcards artist, Clare Treston. They are also made using 100% recycled, carbon neutral paper.
