Too much rain in South East QLD brings the end of the drought, and chaos on Victoria Street, although we are running business as usual!
You are probably aware that on Wednesday 20 May 2009 we were hit by the exceptional flood waters that inundated Brisbane.
We have had significant loss to our premises including our offset press, guillotine, other machinery and vehicles.
The last two days have been difficult however, we are committed to getting back up and running as soon as possible. Already we have power restored to the majority of our building. Phone and email is now reinstalled and our Indigo and Xeikon digital presses are operational. Our pre-press area is also running as business as usual.
We will keep you informed as to the status of our offset facilities when we are in a clearer position to do this.
We appreciate your support, and to all our customers and collegues in the printing and paper industries, a huge thank you.
It is a challenging time however we are already making headway because of the great people here at ColourChiefs and the way everyone has rallied together as a family.
Looking out from ColourChiefs towards Northey Street
One hour later(the cars are still there)
Looking out from ColourChiefs to the right up Victoria Street
Some cars didn't make it out
Wooly's ute
Even deeper
Trying to hold the water back
